As Salaamu Alaikum
I've been homeschooling since Suhailah was 9 months old (but I never knew it was homeschooling). I officially knew I was homeschooling when Suhailah was 1 yr old. Allaah has blessed me immensely when it comes to putting the desire in my heart to want to teach my children and also receive a lot of help in getting books and things of that sort.
I have decided that I want to home school everyday except Friday. I plan on posting the activities up that the girls and I do with guidelines as to how you too can do this at home.
Right now my method is to teach various subjects with the goal written out for me that week. For example one subject is Reading. For the whole week Suhailah will focus on one theme with a review of the week on Sunday. So lets say for the whole week of Nov 15 (last week) Suhailah focused on a vocab word and a particular color. So everyday we used that vocab word differently and continuously use the same color that whole week to do our arts and crafts activities. This will give her time to learn a color and a vocab word.
I hope to post tonight what Suhailah and Yara has done thus far. I know for the week of Nov 15 Suhailah had to focus on learning the names & attributes of Allaah. So I will post up Susu work for Nov 15 and some past things.
Also I intend to post articles up that will help aide you in your very special endeavorer called home schooling Inshaa'Allaah. Please stay tuned.
